Alma K. (Moos) Stein, 82, of Livingston, Montana, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Livingston HealthCare. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 12th, at St. Marys Catholic Church, with Father Leo McDowell officiating. Graveside committal and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial in the Ballroom of the Shane Lalani Center, 415 E Lewis St, Livingston. Alma was born on July 2nd, 1933, in Hebron, North Dakota. She was the third child born of 9 to Christ and Katie (Wagner) Moos. She received her education in Hebron before leaving for Bismarck, ND to work at a hospital there. She met the love of her life in Bismarck, ND. On October 11th, 1951, Alma was united in marriage to George R. Stein, in Hebron, ND. This marriage was blessed with three daughters, Lavern, Debbie and Bev. They shared 64 years of marriage. Alma and George began their lives working a farm in North Dakota. They operated that business until they decided to buy, manage and operate bakeries. They owned Home Bakery in Livingston and Conrad, MT operating them together for many years. Alma worked as the baker, sales person, bookkeeper, custodian and dedicated mother all at once. She and George later sold the bakeries and operated a motel in Harlowton, MT until 1979 when they returned to Livingston and retired. Alma was a loving dedicated wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was caring, hardworking, never complained or had an ill word to say about anyone. Her family was so important in her life that when the health of her daughter, Bev was in jeopardy she did not hesitate to donate her kidney to Bev ensuring her wellness. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, gardening, was a great cook and a meticulous house keeper. She had amassed a huge collection of jewelry over her years, it was ever so important to look her best, you would never see her leave the house without her earrings on. Alma had a strong faith, and was a faithful member of St. Marys Catholic Parish. Mom, thanks for you positivity and unwavering support through the years. Your beautiful spirit will truly be missed. Alma is survived by her: Husband of 64 years, George. Daughter, Lavern Parisi and her husband David of Livingston, their children, Kristin (John) Loomis, their children, Kellan and Kase; David John (Robyn) Parisi Jr. their children, Drake and Elena. Daughter, Debbie Hood and her husband Royce of Bozeman, their children Aaron (Nikki) Loeffler, their children, Mya, Ayden, Lexi and Tristin; Adam (Emily) Loeffler. Daughter, Bev Mehling of Billings, her children, Nichole (Jarette) Manner, their children Haley, Makayla and Braxton. Siblings, Harry, Verla, Clara and Irvin. Nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Alma is preceded in death by her parents Christ and Katie Moos, siblings, Lorraine, Delores, Helen, and Dennis as an infant. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
