Anna Poling

Anna Marie Poling, 73, of Livingston, Montana, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home with her family at her side. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 7th, at the Franzen-Davis Chapel with Pastor Steven Paugh Leuzinger officiating. Fellowship will follow the service at Franzen-Davis. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Rocky Mountain Hospice or the Stafford Animal Shelter. Anna was born on June 11, 1942 in Minot, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Gerald and Louise (Turchin) Wolff the youngest of six children. She received her education in Minot attending Sunnyside Elementary School and was a graduate of the Minot High School Class of 1960. Following school Anna took a job with a local dime store. She later began working at Tempo Hardware. Anna and her husband Gary went to high school together; they were later set-up through a friend, Vicky. The couple dated for a couple years. On June 23rd, 1963, Anna Marie Wolff was united in marriage to Gary Poling, in Minot. This marriage was blessed with two children, Steven and Bethany. They shared 52 years of marriage. Anna and Gary resided in Minot until Gary took a job with a plumbing and heating contractor in Dickinson, ND; while Anna started the best job she had ever had, mother and homemaker. After about a year there they moved to Puyallup, WA where they spent about eight years. They later moved to Missoula, MT where the couple started their own flooring business, Carpet Craft. They operated the business, Anna running the books and the storefront and Gary doing all the hard labor. In 77 they came to Livingston. They continued to operate the business from Livingston until 1990. After the children graduated Anna went back to work full-time. She kept the books at David Rust Carpet Center, retiring in the early 2007. Anna was a member of American Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school while her children were young. She was a volunteer and secretary-treasurer for the Livingston Food Pantry a Ranger Booster and an avid bowler. Anna enjoyed all aspects of gardening and was a master green thumb. She was an amazing culinary artist and canner. Anna especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved all of her pets with a special love for her cats. She was devoted to her family. Loyal beyond explanation, she was dependable and responsible. A loving and caring mother who let her love show at all times to her children. Anna cared for Gary in the later years. His love for her is ever flowing. He will miss her so much. Blessed be her memory. Anna is survived by her: Loving husband, Gary Poling of Livingston. Son, Steven Poling of Idaho Falls, ID and his children, Marcus and Megan. Daughter, Bethany McDermott and her partner, Terry Tipton of Billings, her children Dylan and Sarah. Annas siblings, Charles, "Chuck Wolff of Las Vegas, NV, Donald Wolff and his wife Gaye of North Bend, WA and Geraldine Denniger and her husband, Rich of St. Cloud, MN. Nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Anna is preceded in death by her Parents, Gerald and Louise Wolff. Sister, Myrna Warner and her husband, Joel. Brother, Richard Wolff. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
