Antonia Katherine Johnson of Livingston passed away on Saturday January 11th, 2025, held by her daughters Grace Healy and Sarah Risley. She was 82 years old. Antonia was born on April 6th, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Lois and Kieth (Charles) Holverson. She is survived by her three children Grace Elizabeth Healy, Sarah Anne Risley and Matthew Abraham Risley.
Antonia had a wide variety of interests, and was very intelligent. She loved music and singing. She grew up in Boise, ID learned to play the bassoon in High School, and was in the local orchestra into her early adult years. Music was a very important part of her life. She had a degree in psychology from the University of Colorado.
Antonia was married three times, first to Phil Blauer. They moved to Boulder, CO, where unfortunately Phil passed away only three years later due to leukemia. Her second husband was Edward Wells Risley, and father to their three children. Her third husband was Orlando Edward Johnson. Together they moved to Montana with the children in 1989. Antonia survived Orlando for 15 years.
Antonia was deeply loving and caring. She was selfless and always put needs of others over the needs of herself. She had an adventurous spirit but unfortunately never got the opportunity to go skydiving like she always talked of doing. She was playful and funny, often acting out daily life in various personas, complete with the appropriate accent. All with a big smile and lots of laughter. Her positive energy was contagious. Antonia was a lover of the English language, and all the available words. She loved public speaking and was very particular about grammar and sentence structure. Don’t end your sentence with a preposition!!
After Orlando passed, Antonia moved to Livingston from Paradise Valley where she continued to spread her positive energy and spirit, and was always making new friends. She was blessed and grateful to be so close to her remaining family, the three children, where they would spend lots of time together making meals, watching movies and celebrating holidays. Antonia’s Christmas tree decorations were always something to behold. She had an eye for beauty.
Cremation services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 17th, at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. The family will hold a private memorial at a future date. Antonia will be deeply missed and always loved.
