Beryl Maxine Cloyd, age 95, currently residing in Billings, formerly of Livingston, Montana passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Tender Nest Assisted Living in Billings, Montana. She touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to call her wife, mother, grandmother "GG", daughter, sister, and friend. Beryl was born on the family ranch in Fishtail, Montana in 1921. She was one of five children born to Ray and Sally Tandy and had curly red hair. She attended schools in Fishtail and Absarokee, Montana, graduating from high school in Absarokee. On January 22, 1944, she married Dr. Wallace Walker Cloyd in Fort Lewis, Washington. They later made their home in Livingston, Montana where they raised four children. Although, her family was always her number one priority, she enjoyed traveling around the world and working on her oil paintings and water colors. After her children were raised, Beryl attended Montana State University in Bozeman receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and her youngest son, Neil Cloyd. Survivors include children, Donna (Bill) Barnhart of Billings, Montana, Dr. Miles (Kim) Cloyd of Spencer, Iowa, and Debi (Dave) Adams of Livingston, Montana. Beryl was blessed with nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing is available at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home (118 North 3rd St., Livingston) on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. At 1 p.m. we will proceed to Mountain View Cemetery for a graveside funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials can be made to the Montana Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army or the Stafford Animal Shelter in honor of her love of animals. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Owners and staff at Tender Nest Assisted Living in Billings, Montana for their kindness and loving care of our mother during her stay; especially during her final days.
