(Dallas, TX) Betty Gramm was born in Baker, Montana to Lester and Vera (Rumelhart) Wolenetz. Her Family subsequently moved to Livingston, Montana where she graduated from Park High School and attended Southwestern Montana State College in Dillon. After teaching at a one room rural school in scenic ranching country, she moved to Billings, MT where she began her business career, working for a large oil company in the soon to be booming field of automated data processing. Subsequently, she worked in similar positions in various industries in Sioux Falls, and Chicago. Her last position in her hard working career was in computer programming for a large insurance company in the Chicago area. When her husband was transferred to Minneapolis she decided to leave the corporate world and enjoy her hobbies of sewing, gardening, and bridge. After moving to Dallas, Betty became active in many newcomers activities, bridge groups, and church. At King of Glory Lutheran she managed multiple bridge groups, coordinated dinner club for several years, and was an active participant in small groups. Betty is survived by her husband, Jim; and daughters, Kathy Schuette, Jo Schmidt, Allie Gramm (Tim Sherry), and Susie Gramm Hermann, (Curt Hermann); 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lester, Delano, and Monte; one grandchild, Heather; and one great grandchild, Carson. Although her last years were marked by declining health, she will be remembered by many for her quick wit, her enthusiasm for Bridge, and her loving devotion to her husband and family. She passed away peacefully with family members at her bedside on July 13, 2016. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Allen Family Funeral Options, 2120 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, in Plano, TX, with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 pm. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM (MST) on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Grace United Methodist Church, 302 S. 9th Street, in Livingston, Montana. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to her parents at Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston.
