Betty Sonnek, 97, of Livingston, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Betty was born on March 24, 1925, in Lewistown, Montana, she was born the daughter of William H. and Jennie Anderson. Betty grew up in Lewistown and was a graduate of the Lewistown high school.
Betty was introduced to Kenny Sonnek by a friend. Once he got her to go out on a date with her, they courted for another year, until they were married in February of 1960. Betty and Kenny bounced around a bit until settling in Livingston in 1966.
She was a self-taught bookkeeper; she was smart and shrewd up until her passing. She worked at several car dealers in Bozeman, for Wilcoxson’s in Livingston, for Pepsi-Cola in Livingston and was most proud to have kept her husband, Kenny’s books straight at Livingston Carburetor and Electric.
Betty was a creative and artistic woman. She was musical, playing the violin at many dances over the years. She crocheted many, many afghans over the years as well.
Following Kenny’s death in Sept. of 2017 Betty resided at Diamond K Assisted Living for a bit and then at Caslen’s until her passing.
Per her wishes there will not be a formal funeral. If donating to her memory she would have appreciated the donation to Stafford Animal Shelter.
Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
