Beverly Jean Morehouse

April 30, 1951 — October 6, 2019

Bev was born on April 30, 1951 in Billings, Montana. She was the oldest of four children born to Lawrence Roger Morehouse and Alice Marie (Houston) Aldrich. She lived with her family until she was six years old when she was placed at Warm Springs Hospital. She remained there until she was 18 years old when she moved to the Montana Developmental Center in Boulder where she lived until the age of 28. At that time she moved to the Eastmont Human Services Center in Glendive. In 1995 at the age of 43 Bev moved to Livingston and began receiving supportive services from Counterpoint.Bev was sure to indicate how she felt about the people she lived with and the staff who worked for her. She may have developed her sense of self-advocacy due to her history of living in different environments and interacting with different people. When she moved to Livingston Bev seemed to be wary of change and unsure of how this latest move to a new environment with new people might work. Over time however, she appeared to relax and gain trust that her life would be good here. It became obvious that Bev felt safe, supported and loved. She trusted her staff and was patient, warm and loving toward them while continuing to advocate for her own wellbeing. She valued her housemates and developed close friendships with each of them. She also had a very close bond with Dir. Scott Coleman and the Livingston Healthcare team. Bev enjoyed music, pedicures, massages, sunshine, warmth and her stuffed animals.Beverly is survived by her three sisters, all from Billings: Beckie Imlay, Brenda Hogg and Bernice Osborne. Beverly will be missed by her family, her friends and her Counterpoint Family. There will be a memorial service for Bev at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home at 2pm on Tuesday, October 15th.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
