Bruce Clayton Keysor of Richey, MT died of natural causes Tuesday, December 5th at his daughters home in Livingston. He was 71 years old.
Bruce was born in Miles City on August 4th, 1952 to Robert C. Keysor and Betty M. (Volbrecht) Keysor. At 5lbs, his sisters like to tell the story of how he fit in a shoe box. He was the middle child of 5 siblings.
He married Janet Jensen in 1974 and they had two children Ben Keysor and Megan (Keysor) Winfrey. They moved to Sidney and Bruce started working for Texaco as a truck driver. Bruce’s children were the light of his life.
Fond memories include Bruce loading up his kids and all his nieces and taking them to the Sidney Pocket for the arcade, Pizza and of course ranch dressing. He was a patient man who loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews.
He loved family. Most of our lives were spent doing countless activities such as snowmobiling, cutting firewood, sledding or taking trips with his sisters and their kids. Rock Creek lake was our second home as summers were spent boating, skiing and tubing till there was no more light.
Bruce spent most of his life as a Truck Driver. First for Texaco, then purchasing his own Peterbuilt truck and hauling hay and road oil. He retired from trucking after hauling scorio for W.L. Neu in Sidney. He loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of his friends.
Shortly after retirement he moved back to Richey, where he was born and raised. There he was able to spend time with his Mother in her later years, taking her to get the paper or go for a drive.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Betty Keysor and his brother Keith Keysor.
He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl (Jerry) Whiteman, Becky (Brian) Vetter, Susy (Ken) Ehli. His children Ben (Jolene) Keysor, Megan (Ross) Winfrey and his 5 grandkids (he was the best grandpa) Collin Keysor, Lydia, Cooper Clayton, Vanessa & Libby Winfrey and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
