Carl Allen Rockhill, 52, of Livingston, Montana, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at his home. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 19th, at the Franzen-Davis Chapel (118 N 3rd Street) with Sandy Williams as Celebrant. A Fellowship luncheon will follow the service at the Livingston Elks Lodge. Carl was born on October 31, 1962, in Pendleton, Oregon. He was the son of Richard Lee and Charlotte L. (Handy) Rockhill. As a youth the family moved from Oregon to West Yellowstone, Montana then to Deer Lodge and settled in Livingston. Carl was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1982. Following school Carl worked for his fathers company as a truck driver hauling logs. They worked together for about twenty years. He relocated to Pendleton for about six years driving for a variety of construction companies. Most recently he has been living in Livingston working for the Montana Department of Transportation as a Tech 4 Road Maintenance Driver and on the snow removal crew. On September 22, 2012, Carl was united in marriage to Lois Weathers, in Paradise Valley. They were blessed with three wonderful years of marriage. Carl was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He was strong physically and a big teddy bear at heart. He loved to cook and watch cooking shows on television. Carl like the outdoors boating and snowmobiling in his younger days. He was a man who was ready to give friends a hand a moments notice. He enjoyed Karaoke at the 49er and was a smooth dancer. Blessed be his memory. Carl is survived by his: Loving wife of three years, Lois Rockhill of Livingston, and her daughter: Kim Dell. His parents, Lee and Charlotte Rockhill of Yuma, AZ. Brother, Cliff Rockhill of Livingston. Mother-in-law, Claire Jenkins of Livingston. Nephews Levi Rockhill and his wife, Kari and Riley Rockhill. Many other relatives and friends. Carl is preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
