Carol Ann Jessen, 74, of Livingston, died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private family remembrance is planned. Carol was born on April 20, 1944 in Bozeman MT, the daughter of Robert and Georgia (Overstreet) Boyer. She grew up in Gallatin Gateway, attended Bozeman High School and graduated in the class of 1963. She later attended MSU taking courses in Native American Studies.She lived in Cody, WY for 10 years, then moved to Livingston. She loved Livingston and loved the surrounding mountains.She was especially fond Native Americans and their history. She taught native culture to the schools with her "WindWalker Program". Carol worked at the school as a crossing guard, recess supervisor and lunch aid. She also worked at the Depot and Albertson's Bakery. She thoroughly enjoyed hunting, deer, elk, turkeysany and everything! And she loved horses, even their smell. She also enjoyed play Cribbage and Pinochle with friends and family.She adored her granddaughters and was so adored by them. She raised her granddaughters as her own, taking on full responsibility.Carol is survived by her daughter, Michelle Alverson of Bozeman; three grandchildren, Chabret Pecka, Chelsea Pecka and Asa Alverson; siblings, Beverly Adams of New Mexico, Marjorie McCauley of Three Forks, MT and Richard Boyer of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgia Boyer and infant grandson, baby Earl Pecka.
