Delores (Reidle) Mann

July 23, 1931 — December 11, 2015

E. Delores (Reidle) Mann, 84, of Livingston, Montana, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Frontier Assisted Living in Livingston after a long illness. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 18th. Please meet at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home (118 N 3rd Street) at 1:45 P.M. to proceed to the cemetery. The service will be followed by a reception at the Livingston Elks Lodge. Delores was born on July 23, 1931, in Brush, Colorado, the first generation born in America. She was the daughter of John and Louise (Brunkhardt) Reidle the oldest of three siblings. The family moved to the lower Yellowstone Valley, near Fairview, ND where her parents were farmers. She received her early education in ND and graduated from Fairview High School in the class of 1949. Following her graduation Delores attended Beauty School in Billings, MT. and then returned to Fairview to open her own beauty shop. On January 29, 1955, Delores was united in marriage to Archie C. Mann in Glendive, MT. The couple started their lives moving around following the heavy equipment construction industry where Archie worked at various locations. While working the Tiber Dam Project near Chester, MT. they were blessed with their first child, a daughter Valerie. Later a son Jon, and a daughter Marcie completed the family. Archie and Delores set roots down in Livingston in 1958 and started their company "Archie Mann Excavating". Delores ran the business, did the books, drove gravel truck and did her best to keep Archie on the "straight and narrow". They were a team effort from day one working for many farm and ranches across Park, Sweet grass and Gallatin counties. Delores retired in 2002 due to illness. . Over the years she had a consignment business in Billings & Bozeman, she also did hair out of her home. She was a hard worker, smart, tough and not afraid to give her opinion. Archie and Delores were just shy of 61 years of marriage. Delores was a member of the Germans from Russia Society and traveled to many of their conventions. She was a tremendous cook and baker, making German recipes, Apple and Peach pies. She was involved in Special Olympics with Marcie, traveling to her events. She was a teachers aide for Marcies Special Education classes. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, antiques and actions. Delores is survived by her husband Archie, daughter, Valerie (Ken)Nunley, son, Jon (Darlene) Mann, daughter Marcie, grandchildren Tyson Nunley, Sadie and Cassie Mann. Sister, Joyce Wicorek, sister-in-laws Barbara Reidle and Emma Strand. Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Delores was always proud to of come from a large extended German family, having 42 first cousins. Delores is preceded in death by her Parents, John and Louise Reidle, a brother Earl Reidle and her favorite uncle Ted Reidle. Rest in peace Mom. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
