Dennis Marvin Jones, 81, the oldest child of Marvin G. Jones and Dolores F. (Cole) Jones,passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, June 19th, 2021. He was born in Dayton, ID, March 27, 1940, followed by his sisters Madolyn and Kathleen and brother George. After many moves, his family settled in Clyde Park in 1952, where he has resided since. He graduated from high school in 1958 then continued to study at Montana State. In 1961, due to his father's passing, Dennis returned to Clyde Park where he proceeded to run the family business of Marv's Conoco and Bulk Oil. After coming home, he met his true love, Sharon (Vincent) Jones, and married her in May of 1962 in Billings, MT. As they started their journey of life together, Dennis purchased and operated Jones Oil Company for over 40 years as a Conoco jobber. Dennis and Sharon have continued to reside in Clyde Park where they have raised their family. They had four children, Diane, Dale, Steven and Shaun. They were all sealed as a family of six on March 21, 1980, in the Salt Lake Temple. Dennis was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he held many callings throughout his life. Dennis and Sharon also served in the Billings, MT temple for 5 years. Along with his love to serve others, he had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing and "eating ice cream", but above all activities his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren brought him the greatest joy. He truly believed that families are forever.Dennis is survived by Sharon, his wife of 59 years, and their 4 children: Diane (Shawn) O'Brien,their children Chris (Mary) Cox, Cory Cox, Lindsay (Lucio) Gallegos, Mallory O'Brien andShawn O'Brien Jr; Dale (Jackie) Jones, their children Sara (Kris) Lookhart and Darren (Loren)Jones; Steven (Michelle) Jones, their children Taylor Jones, Rachael Jones, Dustin Samuel,Brandi (Jon) Tribble, Matt (Justina) Samuel and Bailey (McKinley) Duke; Shaun (Bobbi Jo)Jones, their children Whitney Jones and Colton Jones.His great grandchildren Ashtin, Addison and Braden Lookhart, Drew and Skylar Jones, LyannaCox, Benjamin Gallegos, Victoria, Shelby and Cody Tribble, Vera and Vincent Samuel.He is also survived by his sisters; Madolyn (Dan) Goodfellow and Kathleen (Don) Purcell.Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Dolores Jones, stepfather John Cornish,brother George Jones, twin baby granddaughters Jana and Jill Cox, and nephew KevinGoodfellow.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 1:00 P.M., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 110 West Summit, Livingston, Montana. Viewing will precede the service, from 12:00-12:45 P.M. at the church. A luncheon will follow the service, followed by a procession at 4:00 P.M. to the Clyde Park Cemetery for interment.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
