Diane Dodds Devine, 67, of Pray, MT, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, on Saturday morning, October 22nd, 2022, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. She was born on January 12th, 1955, in Baumholder, Germany, and was adopted by Murray and Louise Dodds of Rolla, Missouri. She grew up splitting time between Missouri and Glacier National Park with her aunt and uncle, Carol and Max (Mic) Edgar, who was the chief engineer in the park. She married Terence Paul Devine on June 30, 1979 in Bozeman, Montana.
Throughout their 43 years together, Terry was her beloved husband, fellow adventurer, and best friend with whom she enjoyed traveling across the country and visiting friends and family. They were blessed with five children and enjoyed traveling as a family, exploring nearly all 50 states and several countries, including China, Peru, Mexico, and Canada. Diane attended Flathead Valley Community College and Montana State University, where she earned a B.S. in Botany. She worked as a fisheries technician in Essex, MT and then later became the co-owner operator, with Terry, of the Livingston Paradise Valley KOA from 1990-2015. Diane was an active participant in her church community, an active outdoors woman and avid forager, loved tending her garden and improving the landscape with various trees and shrubs. She was an all around cherished and widely respected mom, wife, friend and business-owner. She loved bringing people together around the table, enjoying her divine cooking and close fellowship. She was passionate about sharing her faith, abundance of stories, hospitality, and knowledge with everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim Dodds, and her Uncle Mic and Auntie Carol. Diane is survived by her husband Terence Paul Devine; five children: Bill, Eric (Elizabeth Rose), Ian, Jannah (Henry Vander Houwen), and Micah Devine; six Grandchildren: Lucas, Joanna, Josiah, Lydia, and Naomi (Bill) and Eli (Jannah and Henry); two dogs Maizie and Gus, and many brothers and sisters-in-law, and cousins.
