Donna Mae (Douthit) Griffith, 93, of Livingston, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Livingston Health and Rehabilitation Center. A Celebration of Donnas Life will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2 P.M., at American Lutheran Church in Livingston (129 S. F St.). Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. Donna was born on October 7, 1920, in Wibaux, Montana. She was the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Costello) Douthit . Donna was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in her Christian faith. She received her education in Wibaux, and was a graduate of the Wibaux High School Class of 1939. In July of 1940, Donna was united in marriage to James Christian Griffith in Glendive, MT. This marriage was blessed with three children, Kathleen, James and Robin. Donna and Jim started their life in Wibaux and in 1959 they moved to the family home in Livingston. They shared 51 years of marriage. Donna was employed at Vickers and later at Trowers Drug Store as a clerk for 25 years. She retired in 1987 to care for her husband full time. Donna was a devoted member of American Lutheran Church. She enjoyed time spent planting flowers, potting plants and enjoying the sunshine. When her children were young she was active in Scouts as a Den Mother. She also was a member with the musical group "Treble Cleff" until they disbanded in the 60s. In her later years she enjoyed bridge club with her girlfriends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Blessed be her memory. Donna is survived by her: Sons, James Griffith and his wife Carol of East Islip, NY, and Robin Griffith and his wife Teresa of Spokane, WA. Grandchildren, Jessica George and her husband Antony and their children Annilese and Amelia; Chris Griffith and his wife Kasey and their children Piper and Oliver; John Kipp and his wife Trishawn and their children Xander and Madison; Shawna Kipp; Corwin Kipp and his wife Susan and their children Vincent and Emma; Rick Kipp and children Hunter, Camden and Keighle. Son-in-law, Merlin Kipp. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Donna is preceded in death by her: Husband, Jim Griffith; Daughter, Kathleen Kipp; Parents, Charles and Ethel Douthit; Three brothers and three sisters.
