Her early years were spent in the Bitterroot Valley. The family moved to Livingston in the early 1940's. Dorotha married the love of her life, Wilbur Lambert on February 13, 1949. She was a member of Pine Creek Methodist Church, Yellowstone Gem and Mineral Society, Red Hat Society, RSVP, Senior Citizens of Park County, Park County Pioneers, and Brisban Community Hall. She sold Avon in Paradise Valley, and was a 4H leader, enjoying the camaraderie of people. She and Wilbur loved fishing, rock hunting, and in their retirement years, they traveled all over Montana picking berries and making jams, jellies, and syrups which they sold at bazaars and craft shows. She was very talented in crafts, making and selling them. Her German Chocolate Cakes were famous at the Pine Creek Church Harvest sale, with the last one bringing in $1200.00 for the church. She loved people and volunteered at many places. She and Wilbur ranched in the Deep Creek area finally moving into their log home in the creek bottom where they stayed until Wilbur's illness forced them to sell their beloved home and move into Livingston. One of her most common sayings was 'This getting old stuff is for the birds, I'm really getting sick and tired of this.' She is survived by her daughter, Doris (Tom) Schnelle, foster-daughter, Lessie (Richard) Tonnesen, grandchildren, Danny, Michael, Jary, and Tonya, great-grandchildreng Brandon, Jaela and Angela, and great-great grandchildren, Taylee and Daysen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilbur, sister, Odelia and granddaughter Angela Kay. Her laughter, spunk and love of life will be greatly missed!
