Dorothy M. (Flack) Brown

Dorothy Marie Brown, 68, of Livingston and Florence MT, went home to rest with the Lord on Wednesday March 19th 2014 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Dorothy had so much love for everyone around her; her family was blessed to have an opportunity to say good bye although it came too soon. A funeral service will be held at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston on Saturday, March 22nd, 4 p.m., with viewing beginning at 3 p.m., interment will follow after the service at Mountain View Cemetery. Fellowship location will be announced. Memorials may be made in Dorothys name to the Humane Society or Meals on Wheels. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1945 in Brookings, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Floyd Flack and Evelyn Peters. She was one of six children, and enjoyed large family gatherings thorough out her life. She attended Park High School (Class of 1963) and later took CNA courses. Dorothy was a life-long nurturer; she always had lots of children under her care. Grandmas house was always full of mischievous kids, rambunctious dogs and lots of food and laughter. Dorothy married Dale O. Brown in St. Anthony, Idaho in 1963. During their 18 years of marriage Dale and Dorothy moved around Idaho and Montana, finally settling down in Livingston, Montana to raise their four children- Angela, twins Kenny and Kelly, and Kevin. They later welcomed Dorothys nephew Travis Flack to the family and helped raise their granddaughters Kristin and Destiny Brown. Dorothys family and friends were always her first priority- her friends were life- long and devoted. She was a no-nonsense ball of fire whose lap always had a little dog and a grandchild in it. Dorothys stories, fearless loyalty, generous heart and big smile will be truly missed. Its not the same without Grandma Browns cup of coffee and the Yahtzee game or cribbage board out. Dorothy is survived by Brothers Dale (Phyllis) Flack, Gary (Dianne) Flack, Walter Miller (daughter Crystal and her mother Lori) and their families, Dale Brown and adopted son Travis Flack. She is also survived by her twin sons- Kenny (Lorrie and her son Kolter) Brown and Kelly (Jocelyn and their children Mistee, Derek, Violet and Kelly Jr) Brown, and Angelas children Kristin and Destiny Brown. While we are sad to say goodbye we know she is joyfully reunited with her parents, daughter Angela, son Kevin, her brothers Tom and Ray and her good friend Tom Francis.
