Dudley T. 'Duke' Bedbury, 69, of Swingley Road, Park County, Montana, passed away unexpectedly due to a tractor accident on Monday, December 7, 2015. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A celebration of Dukes life will be held at a later date. Born on December 12, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was the son of Leonard and Lucille (Irving) Bedbury. He was a graduate of Mounds View High School Class of 1963. He attended Dunwoody (Trade School) and earned a certificate in Auto Mechanics. On September 28, 1968, Duke was united in marriage to Phyllis Hartmann, in Columbia Heights, MN. They have a daughter, Beth. Duke and Phyllis lived and worked in Minnesota, Montana and Salt Lake City. Duke and Phyllis came to live in Livingston in 1992. He had served on the Park County Search and Rescue and on the Big Sky Ski Patrol. In 2000 Duke graduated from MSU Bozeman with a Registered Nursing Degree. He worked at the Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber and with Hospice as the Staff Nurse. Duke was respected as a nurse and for his compassion. He was later employed at Livingston HealthCare. He loved Montana and the outdoors. Duke is survived by his: Loving wife Phyllis and Daughter, Beth both of Swingley Road, Livingston, MT. Siblings, Charlotte Detzler and her husband, Roger of North St. Paul, MN, Craig Bedbury and his wife, Becky of Cambridge, MN, Stan Bedbury and his wife, Barb of North Branch, MN and Mike Cooney and his wife, Deb of Milan, IL. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Duke is preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
