Her mother passed when she was two years old and Russell would again marry Lovena who was a wonderful mother to Lou. She attended Tigard High School and was a graduate of the class of 1968. Following school she met her first husband and they had a daughter, Colette. They would separate and she would again marry and be blessed with another daughter, CJ while residing in Missoula. She would then move to Bozeman and then to Gardiner as her husband worked in the mine there. They soon separated and then she married Chuck Bolle on August 29, 1992 and was married to him until the time of his death. Lou had made Gardiner her home until April when she came to live with CJ in Emigrant.During her 30 years in Gardiner Lou had worked at the K Bar, waited tables at The Town Caf, later becoming their breakfast cook, it was as the cook she set the record for the most eggs prepared in a five and a half hour shift of 48 dozen. She worked for a short time in the Mine and wrapped up her hospitality career as a cook at the Two Bit Saloon. She retired in 2014. Lou was a voracious reader; it was not uncommon for her to go through two books in a day. She also enjoyed the outdoors, her garden and liked fishing and helping with the hunt in her younger days.Lou was a hard working loyal woman. She loved deeply and her humor was unforgettable. She was devoted to Gardiner and its residents. Lou was a legend in Gardiner and we are so proud of how much our mom has done for us.She is survived by her daughter, Colette Hatlee and her children: son, Morgan and daughter, Destiny; and daughter, CJ (Nate) Daniels; her sister, Mabel Ellis; one niece, Kathy Kerr and two nephews, Tommy Kerr and Michael Rundlett. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother and seven siblings, and husband, Chuck Bolle.
