Eric Bonaventure Rehmer, 66, of Livingston Montana, died September 10, 2014 at Livingston HealthCare Hospital following a short battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Marys Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 with Fr. Leo McDowell officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery following the service. Eric was born on October 24, 1947 in Kankakee, Illinois. Prior to his moving to Livingston in 1973 Eric attended Lewis University and Quincy University in Illinois. He owned and operated Rehmer Electric in Big Timber from 1973 until 1979. After selling his business he became well known as a piano entertainer in Emigrant, Bozeman and Livingston. In 1985 he attended Mount Angel Seminary in St/ Benedict, Oregon where he studied under the direction of the Benedictine Monks and earned his Bachelor Degree in Theology in 1990. Eric loved discussing theology, music and writing, and was an avid rock hound. He also enjoyed archeology with a particular interest in Native American Culture. Eric enjoyed his many travels on land and sea and particularly enjoyed living in Montana. Eric is survived by one brother, Larry Rehmer. He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence, mother Rena, a sister Laurie Ann, and two brothers Michael and Daniel. Memorials may be made to St. Marys Education Trust Fund. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
