Frances resided in and around Emigrant, MT from 1987 until her passing in 2025.
Frances was the youngest of four children and was raised in Los Angeles, CA. She looked like she could have been the twin sister to a young Farrah Fawcett. She was a true Southern California girl. Fran was a beautiful and very spiritual woman. She had fascinating and rich life experiences working as a flight attendant in the 1970’s and later working for Princess Cruises through the 1980’s. One of her passions was traveling. She visited many countries and continents. She joked that she walked her way to Europe and Asia and back while working on the planes and serving passengers. One of her favorite and most memorable trips was to Tibet with her church group in the 90’s.
Frances was dedicated to protecting her home and the land she loved. Her house survived a big fire in the area but many trees were lost. This led to a friend of hers to cheer her up by saying that the silver lining was the million dollar view she was left with. She generously shared her space with the many people she hosted over the years.
Her love and passion for dogs led her to ultimately own and care for seven of them throughout the years, the last being her beloved Aimee. Her love of the wildlife on her property was a constant joy that she chronicled frequently.
Frances is survived by many nieces, nephews (many of which she nicknamed after flowers), cousins and dear friends in the States, Canada and Australia. She was a great friend to many and a nurturing soul to those who needed her most. The love she instilled in each of us will continue to be shared with the world as we remember to treat others with tolerance, love and kindness, just like Frances did.
