Frances (Shelhamer) Robinson, 96, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2015 at her daughters home in Wilsall. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th, at the Clyde Park Methodist Church (at the corner of 3rd Street and Miles Street) at 1:00 P.M., Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside committal and burial will follow at the Clyde Park Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will conclude the services at the Clyde Park Community Hall. Frances was born September 14, 1919, to A.C. and Grace (Gilbert) Shelhamer. Her family resided on a ranch in Clyde Park where she also attended school. She attended college at the University of Puget Sound and graduated with a degree in home economics. Frances married Charles Robinson on September 22, 1940 and they leased various ranches in the Clyde Park area before settling on the Shelhamer ranch. In 1953, they bought a ranch in the Sedan area and moved to Wilsall. Three children were raised on this ranch, Sharon, Shirley and Russell. Russell worked the ranch until the time of his death. Frances was an active member of the Clyde Park Methodist Church (which her parents were instigative in starting). In later years, she was also president of Park County Cowbelles, and remained very active. Frances was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her life. She loved woodworking, as well, and at one time held classes for the Methodist Church youth group. If anyone wanted something built, they would ask her, and she would load up her tools, and show up. She and her daughter built most of the cabin in the Crazies. She was also an accomplished seamstress and gardener. She was known for her beautiful flowers. Frances is survived by one sister, Pat, of California, a daughter, Shirley (Jerry) Olson of Wilsall, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Robinson also of Wilsall, 8 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charley, her parents, Grace and A.C. Shelhamer, her sisters, Alice Shelhamer and Lucille Vennes, her daughter, Sharon Keefer, her son, Russell Robinson and son-in-law, Slim Keefer. Memorials may be made to Livingston HealthCare Hospice, 320 Alpenglow Lane, Livingston, the Clyde Park Methodist Church, 302 S 9th St, Livingston, or to the donors choice.
