Frank P. Armentaro, 90, of Livingston, Montana, passed away on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at the Livingston HealthCare Hospital with his family at his side. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd at Franzen-Davis from 2-5 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral Service of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2:00 P.M. at the Franzen-Davis Chapel, 118 North 3rd St., Livingston. Father Navil Rodriguez will serve as Celebrant. Graveside committal and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery with Veterans Honors by Park Post #23 American Legion and Army Active Duty Honors Team. Coffee and cake fellowship will follow the service at Franzen-Davis. Frank was born in Livingston, Montana on November 20, 1925 to Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Mary (Leto) Armentaro. He was educated in the Livingston Schools and graduated from Park County High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. ARMY from November 1948 to November 1949, serving in the U.S. and the Hawaiian Islands in basic infantry, a radio operator and switchboard operator. His places of employment were many and varied. He worked at the Gamble Stores as a clerk, Northern Pacific Railroad as a Carman, the Livingston School District as a Janitor. He also owned the Dairy Store, a small grocery store, for several years. After selling the store he worked at the Mint Bar as a card dealer, until he retired. He was a bass player and vocalist in his brother Louis western swing Band, The Rhythm Ramblers, for Forty Years along with Oscar Bergsing the third member of the trio. They played dances all over the state and during the rodeo circuit they would play the saloon following the competition all over Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota. He also helped his brother Louis sound and announcing services. They won numerous awards with their Western five piece band. He is survived by his brother, Louis Armentaro and his wife Donna, many nieces and nephews and grand- nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, ; sister, Theresa; four brothers, John (Louis twin), James, Tony and Dominic Armentaro. The family requests that memorials be made to the Park County Senior Center; 206 South Main Street Livingston, MT 59047. This was Franks favorite place to eat dinner and visit with his many friends. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
