Gary M. Blakely, 62, of Livingston, passed away with family by his side Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory and A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 3 P.M., Saturday August 23, at the Franzen-Davis Chapel with Sandy Williams serving as Celebrant. The memorial will be followed by a gathering of friends and family at the funeral home. He was the son of Margaret and Bob Marsh. He received his education in Livingston, MT and was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1970 and was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad as a brakeman/conductor for many years. Gary enjoyed photography, politics, and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his first marriage, Gary and Vickie Steffen had one son, Gary M. Blakely II of Seattle, WA. In his later marriage to Elana Keller, he had one son and one daughter, Eric Blakely of Austin, TX and Tara Blakely of Sheridan, WY. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Marsh of Livingston, MT, his twin brother, Terry Blakely of Livingston, MT, sister, Wendy Blakely of Dublin, OH, as well as, his beloved grand-puppies and grand-kitties, and many other relatives and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his step-father Bob Marsh and brother Rick Blakely. Garys family takes comfort in the fact that he knew how much he was loved and how much love he had for them.
