Gerald Jerry Martello

September 8, 1946 — September 17, 2017

Jerry "Pa" Martello, 71, of Livingston, Montana, passed away on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at Livingston Health and Rehabilitation. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. We will be Celebrating Jerrys life 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 23, at the Livingston Elks Lodge. Jerry was born on September 8, 1946, in Helena, Montana. He was the son of Patrick and Mildred (Barone) Martello. Jerry enjoyed being in the great-outdoors working with his hands and shooting the bull---- with his friends. He loved golfing, hunting with his family and heading to Idaho to fish Steelhead with friends. He always had his garage ready to hang and cut meat during hunting season. He made tasty sausage and smoked one heck of a turkey. Jerry had retired from the Montana Department of Transportation where he worked as the Maintenance Supervisor. Jerry you will be dearly missed and never forgotten! Jerry is survived by his: twin-sister, Sherri Martello of Helena; wife, Sue Martello of Livingston. Daughter, Muffy Norquist and her husband, Scott of Livingston, their children: Josh, Addyson and McKenzy. Step-children, Jerry Churchwell and his wife Tami of South Carolina, and their children: J.D. (Hannah) Churchwell and Kierstin Churchwell; step-grandson, Justin; Jennifer Churchwell and her children: Chris, Brianna and Nathan Sparks. Many other relatives and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Millie and his brother, John. As Jerry would have said: "RAISE THE FLAG AND FIRE THE CANNON!" Memorials are preferred to: Stafford Animal Shelter, 3 Business Park Road; Livingston, MT 59047. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
