Gloria Pierce, 81 of Pray Montana, passed peacefully surrounded by family Monday, February 17, 2014 at Livingston Health Care. Gloria was born on May 21, 1932 in Livingston, Montana to Buck and Bing Powers. She lived most of her life on the ranch known as the "Dome Mountain Ranch" where she helped out through grade school and during the summer months of her high school years. Gloria enjoyed riding horses, hunting, high school sports, and ranch work. She was also an active 4-H leader for 15 years for the Dome Mountain 4-H club, as well as a member of the Shiny Mountain Club for 50 years. On January 18, 1953 Gloria married Alvin Pierce. They were married for 50 years and had 5 children, Pam, Alvin, Bill, Lori, and Ted. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and friends. Gloria is survived by her children, Alvin (Shawna) of Old Chico, Bill (Pam) of Livingston, Lori (Larrie) of Wilcox Arizona, and Ted (Treisa) of Bozeman as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Pierce, her parents Buck and Bing Powers, her daughter Pam and her husband Bob, and her grandson TJ. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. Per Gloria's request no funeral service will be held, but there will be a coffee hour memorial on Sunday February 23, 2 PM at Emigrant Community Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
