Helen Marie Chapman

Helen Marie Chapman, age 93, of Livingston, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Open Arms in Belgrade. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2:00 PM at Franzen-Davis Chapel, with viewing from Noon until the time of the service. Interment is at Park View Memorial Gardens. Fellowship coffee hour will be held following the interment at Living Hope Church, formerly, Livingston Congregational Church. Helen was born on January 27, 1920, in Livingston, Park County Montana. She was the daughter of Arthur and Ivy (McDonald) Stephens. She received her education in Livingston, attending grade school at East Side Elementary and was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1938. On July 27, 1940, Helen was united in marriage to Donald Chapman, at Helen's parents' home in Livingston. This marriage was blessed with 2 daughters, Gayle Ann and Linda Kay. Helen resided in Livingston her entire life. She passed away on what would have been their 73rd wedding anniversary. Helen was employed at Ben Franklin as a clerk, as well as many other jobs. She was a member of Living Hope Church, the former Livingston Congregational Church. She was also a member of a friendship sewing circle. Helen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidering, fishing, and camping. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family, grandchildren and friends. Helen is survived by her: Daughters, Gayle Madding and her husband Gene of Stafford, VA and Linda Greger and her husband Rudy of Belgrade, MT; Grandchildren, Dawn Wright and her husband Mike, Sunnie Rhyner and her husband Larry, Danielle Dietrich and her husband Kurt, Ginger Galiger and her husband John, Dustin Dodge and his wife Abby, Kyle Greger and his wife Jenny, Rob Greger and his wife Cara, Rudy Greger Jr. and his wife Bev; Great-grandchildren, Dallas Nelson, Tyler Goodrich, Courtney and Shelby Wright, Laryssa Dodge, Lacey Rhyner, Ashlee Bryson, Raychel Rhyner, Lily Galiger, Taylor Greger, Jenny Greger, Hayden and Garison Dodge, Kendra and Brett Dietrich, Wolfgang and Austin Greger. Many other relatives and friends. Helen is preceded in death by her Husband Donald Chapman; Parents, Arthur and Ivy Stephens; Brothers, Russell Stephens and Cliff Stephens.
