Iva M. Eggar, age 84, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Iva was born on August 11, 1939, in Enumclaw, Washington to the late Albert and Ellen (Beebe) Dagen. The family moved to Montana settling in the Wilsall area. Iva graduated from Park High School with the class of 1958. Soon after, Iva met and married Vernon L. Miller on December 26, 1958. Together they had four daughters.
Iva worked for Dan Bailey’s in Livingston tying flies, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Later, she was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and reading.
On July 29, 1993, Vernon passed away unexpectedly. After many years, Iva was reacquainted with a childhood friend, Dick Eggar. They were married on December 14, 2010, until Dick’s passing in July of 2020.
Iva is survived by her daughters, Verna Hulit of Billings; Carmen (Rick) Meckle of Big Timber; Coni Rogers of Townsend; and Jessie (Mark) Sumner of Livingston. She is further survived by numerous grand and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouses, Iva was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Earl Dagen and one sister, Janet Eggar.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the American Legion Post No. 23, 112 North B St., Livingston.
