James "Jim" Lemon, 78, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Livingston Health & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Jim was born August, 15, 1938 in Livingston. He was raised and educated in Willsal, graduating from high school in 1957. In 1958 he married his high school sweetheart Carol Swandal. Together they raised three boys in the Livingston area. Jim spent his working life doing a variety of things from farming and ranching to truck driving. However, his excavation business brought him the most gratification, as he loved working equipment and was quite good at it. He is survived by his sons, Scott (Val) Lemon of Livingston, Bob (Leslie) Lemon of Belgrade, MT, Mike (Jackie) Lemon of Bozeman, MT; grandchildren, Larissa (Tony) Lehman, Cody (Chelsey), Allen (Jamie), Trevor, Corey, Shelby, Nicole, Travis, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Michael, Bryce and Xavier; brother, Larry (Loretta) Tribble of Bozeman; brother-in-law, Marty (Virginia) Swandal of Wilsall; numerous nieces and nephews. Also his dear friend and companion Dixie Jimison. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol and granddaughter Katlyn. Jims greatest joy in his life was his family and he was extremely proud of them. Per Jims request there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
