James C. Wolf, 'Coach', died April 10th in Livingston, Mt. where he and his wife, Betty Jo have resided since his retirement from El Cajon Valley High School. Coach leaves a legacy of kindness and guidance. He never closed the door on anyone, touching generations that are forever grateful. During his 33 year tenure at ECVHS he coached both boys and girls in a multitude of sports. However, his most cherished personal achievement was helping to shape the lives of the young people through teaching. Coach was awarded Teacher of the Year at ECVHS in 1994.Coach attended Yuma High school in Arizona and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame. He played quarterback for San Diego State University after leaving Yuma. J.C. Wolf is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Jo, son Kelly Wolf, grandchildren Tori Wolf and Brandon Rice, and his dog Joey. He was preceded in death by his son Kory Wolf. Coach has now left the field. A social gathering in remembrance of Coach will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
