Jean Louise (Jeffries) Barry

Jean L. Barry, 96, lifelong resident of Livingston, Montana, passed away Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 7th, at the Franzen-Davis Chapel with Sandy Williams as the Celebrant. A time for fellowship will follow the service at the funeral home with graveside committal and burial then following at Mountain View Cemetery. Jean was born on April 6th, 1920, in Livingston, Montana. She was the daughter of Charles E. and Kathryn (Campbell) Jeffries. She received her education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park County High School. She attended MSU to earn her qualification to be the Park County Librarian. She served as Librarian from 1964 until her retirement. Jean is survived by her: children, son, William "Bill" Gibson of Livingston, son, Jeffrey "Jeff" Gibson of Butte, son, Daniel "Dan" Gibson and his wife, Liz of Centennial, CO and daughter, Juliana "Julie" Gibson of Aurora, CO. Grandchildren, Bradley "Brad" Gibson, Jennifer Gibson-Snyder and Matthew "Matt" Gibson. Four great-grandchildren, Brand, Jack, Kellen and Grace. Jean is preceded in death by her grandson, Jeff C. Gibson, parents, Charles and Kathryn Jeffries, spouses, Fred Gibson and John Barry and brother, Hugh Jeffries. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital in care of Al Bedoo Temple in Billings, Montana. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
