Jean Ann Connelley

Jean Ann Dewing Connelley, born February 21, 1934, of Livingston, MT passed away September 5, 2024, in Livingston, MT at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Walter and Katherine (MacDonald) Dewing and sister to Janet (Dewing) Gilkey. She graduated from Park High School. On May 8, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward M. “Budge” Connelley, Jr. They had four children, Kathy, Gary, Dan and Bryan. Other than short periods in Lewistown and Missoula, Jean spent most of her life in Livingston and Park County.

Jean was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt and great aunt to a large extended family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and playing Pinochle.

She is survived by her sister, Janet (Duane) Gilkey of Albuquerque, sister-in-law, Marla Connelley Riley of Bozeman, children: Kathy (Butch) Keyes of Livingston, Gary Connelley of Billings, Dan Connelley of Livingston and Bryan (Jenny) Connelley of Belgrade, MT; eight grandchildren: Levi (Mary Anne) Keyes, Ryan (Amy) Keyes, Robyn (Patrick) Sherrill, Wendy Connelley, Mandy Connelley, Kaitlyn (Shawn) Joyce, Davis (Meaghan) Connelley, Julia Connelley; thirteen great- grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, numerous aunts and uncles, and daughter-in-law, Karan Dunnigan Connelley.

A private family gathering will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Jean’s name be sent to Stafford Animal Shelter of Livingston.
