Joanelle Julianne Bartholomew, 77, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away peacefully at her home January 21, 2014. Joanelle was born March 24, 1936 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Johnson. She graduated from Park County High School in Livingston and attended Montana State College, eventually attending Mesa Community College majoring in art. Joanelle married Gary C. 'Bart' Bartholomew and they lived in various locations, including Dallas, Tucson, Phoenix, Mesa, Flagstaff, and Virginia Beach, Virginia while he pursued careers with Sears and Target. They ultimately returned to Tucson where Gary retired in 2002. Gary and Joanelle enjoyed their summers in Livingston, Mont. Joanelle loved arts, crafts, traveling and cooking. She loved her husband and sons more than one can say, as well as being a special grandmother. She also truly adored her dachshunds. Joanelle will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Gary Bartholomew; sons, Blain T. Price, Dana R. (Lilly) Price, and Gary B. Bartholomew; grandchildren, Dominic Price, Gina (Tim) Rodriguez, Johnny (Luanne) Price, Dana (Matt) Demarse-Rote, James Price, Melissa Price, Jessica Price; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Price; her son, John R. Price; a sister, Julie A. Johnson-Stochich; brother, Jack Johnson; and parents, Joseph and Ellen Johnson. Cremation has taken place in Arizona, with visitation taking place there in January. Graveside committal services and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston, with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. at American Lutheran Church, corner of F and Lewis Streets.
