Jody L. Davis (Connell) passed to the other side, at the age of 74, from cancer at her home in Livingston, Montana on September 25, 2023, with her son, daughter, sister, and husband by her side. Jody grew up in Moses Lake and Washtucna, WA graduating high school in 1967. She married Tom Ashenbrenner and had two children. Divorcing in the 70’s, Jody raised her kids in Washington and Oregon sharing many adventures with family and friends. Jody (Allen) moved to Livingston, Montana in 2000, marrying Aaron Davis in 2010. She and Aaron shared a passion for collecting rocks and enjoyed floating the Yellowstone and visiting the Oregon coast.
Jody was full of love and creativity, had many friends and loved her family deeply. She made beautiful stained glass, mosaics, pouches, paintings, and a variety of other homemade treasures. Jody’s yard is a wonderland of perennials, and she made the best raspberry jam.
Jody worked in administrative positions. At retirement she was with the Corporation for the Northern Rockies working on the Livingston Farmers Market and Sustainability Fairs. She also served on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and enjoyed volunteering at the United in Light Horse Sanctuary.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Kay Connell, sister Ja’Roi Reynolds, and brother Mick Connell. She is survived by her husband Aaron Davis of Livingston, MT, sister CoCo Daley, of Ritzville, WA, son Jeff Ashenbrenner of Ritzville, WA, daughter Aimee Brunckhorst of Lakeside, MT, and 6 grandkids and 9 great grandkids who will miss her tremendously.
A celebration of life was held for friends in Livingston, MT on September 28, and a family celebration will take place on her land near Ritzville, WA this spring.
