John A. Flanigan

September 17, 1967 — August 25, 2013

John A. Flanigan, age 45, of Bozeman Montana, died recently in the mountains near Butte, Montana. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 6, at 2 p.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Livingston, Montana. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Livingston. Fellowship will follow the Mass at Livingston Golf and Country Club. John was born on September 17th, 1967, in Livingston Montana, the youngest child of Dick and Lucille Flanigan. John was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in his faith at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He received his education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park High School. John also attended Montana State University. John was a union carpenter who specialized in cement finishing. He was very passionate about his work, which can be seen today in major projects like bridges and highways all over the Northern Rockies. John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing in Montana. He especially enjoyed duck hunting with his black lab Cole. Blessed be his memory. John is survived by his Mother, Lucille Flanigan, of Bozeman; his Brothers, Mark of Everett, Wash., Richard of Portland, Ore., Ed of Austin, Texas, and Keith of Bozeman, his Sister, Tracie of Florence MT, and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by his Sister, Mary Catherine and his Father, Dick. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
