Johnnie L. Wilson, USN Ret., 76, of Wilsall, Montana was surrounded by his loving family as he died peacefully on December 10, 2020 at 6:45 am at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. John was the first son, born in Winfield, Kansas on November 9, 1944, to John and Marian (Bradley) Wilson, who had four sons; John, Dwayne, Nick and Rick. John survived his three brothers, married, having two daughters, before he married Linda D. (Adams) Wilson on July 15, 2000 in Livingston, MT. John served 24 years in the United States Navy, having served aboard the USS Hunterdon County in the Brown-Water Navy during the Vietnam War, and he commissioned the USS Conquest and the USS Frank Cable, before retiring as Quartermaster First Class Petty Officer aboard the USS Dixon. He explored various jobs and educational tracks before he became a long-haul truck driver, retiring after twenty years. John was an avid Seahawks fan and reader, loved John Wayne, and loved a good movie or a good talk of politics. John loved to make people laugh and give numerous compliments, just to be able to make someone smile. John is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters April (Marty) Wilson-Nolen, and Kim (Loren) Banks; his two step sons Robert Hainsey and Michael Felkins; his grandchildren Sebastian, Sage, Trenten, Garrett, Shelby, Colton, Evan and Emmaline; his sister-in-law Jan Lukenbill and her husband Mike, and his brother-in-law Mike Adams and his wife Cindy. Upon John's request, no services will be held. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
