Burial will follow the service at Clyde Park Cemetery; a reception will follow the burial at the Clyde Park Community Center. Joyce was born January 11th, 1935 in Livingston, Montana to Donald and Dorothy (Davis) Chose . She lived in several towns with her family growing up, as her Dad was a Fuller Brush Salesman. The family lived on a ranch on Little Indian Creek out of Wilsall, MT when she was 3 years old. They then purchased the Fred Sumner Ranch out of Clyde Park, MT in April 1942, when Joyce was 7 years old. She grew up in a loving family riding her horse, milking cows, feeding pigs, and all the chores of a farm and ranch life. She also helped with haying and farming as well as drove a team of horses on dump rakes and mowers. Joyce attended a one room school house on Cottonwood Bench Road through the 2nd grade. Third through eighth grades were at the Sumner School, on the ranch. She graduated from Clyde Park High School in 1952. Joyce then married her high school sweetheart, Everrett Bailey, on April 5, 1953. For the first two years of their marriage they lived on Harold Baileys ranch on Lower Cottonwood Road in Clyde Park where Carrie was born. They then moved to White Sulphur Springs and worked for Ray Bailey where Tom and Tony were born. In July of 1956 they moved to the Chose Ranch in Clyde Park where she had been raised. The ranch was then purchased by Joyce and Everrett; Linda and Russ were born during that time period. Everrett still resides there today. Joyce was a loving, nurturing mother, and she greatly loved her 12 grandchildren playing many a game of rummy with them. Then along came 18 great-grandchildren. She was always surrounded by family and friends with her home always open for many a grand meal. She always had a bucket of chocolate chip cookies or cinnamon knots. There never was a branding or shipping day without Joyces treats! Joyce was very competitive and loved sports; Everrett and Joyce did not miss a game while their grandchildren were competing. They continued to enjoy the community sporting events even after the grandkids had graduated. She loved going to the Cottonwood pinochle parties where she could visit with friends and neighbors. She enjoyed crocheting blankets which have been enjoyed through the years by all her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Lastly, she was always young at heart, who loved to go sledding every winter! Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy Chose and her sister, Donna Lynn VanGilder. She is survived by her: husband of 63 1/2 years, Everrett Bailey; daughter, Carrie (Jeff) Butcher, and their children, Heather (Donovan) Mosser, Heidi (Dustin) Grevious, Justin (Candice) Butcher; son, Tom (Debbie) Bailey, and their children, Jennifer (Jesse) Kirk, Julie (Tyler) Arnold; son, Tony (Patsy) Bailey, and their children, Ryan (Kristen) Bailey, Lisa (Jeff) Smith; daughter, Linda (Dan) Wertz, and their children, Chris Wertz, Chad (Erika) Wertz, Cassie Wertz; and son, Russ (Lorene) Bailey, and their children, KayDee Bailey, Karlene Bailey; 18 Great -Grandchildren, a sister, Virginia B.
