July 30, 1940 — August 12, 2021

Joyce (Lehman) Lahaye, 81, of Livingston, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021. Joyce was born in Rushville, Nebraska, on July 30, 1940. She was the daughter of John & Mary Lehman and was raised in Rushville. After graduation, she attended Parks Business College in Denver, Colorado, graduating in September 1959. On December 30, 1961, she married Gary Lahaye, and four children were welcomed; Chris, Ken, Therese, and Bryan. Joyce and Gary worked on ranches in the panhandle of Nebraska while raising their kids. In 1976, they moved from Illinois to Wilsall, Montana. Joyce's main job was being a great mom and homemaker. She was very dedicated to her family and spent countless hours at basketball games, rodeos, and ropings, cheering for her children and then her grandchildren - "Tie ‘em Tight!" grandma would holler. The grandkids had their say, too, during four wheelers rides - "Faster Gramma, Faster!" They truly were her pride and joy. Joyce worked at the Wilsall School for several years as bookkeeper and cook. She was the best cook ever, and many can attest to that. Cake decorating was a favorite pastime. She worked for several businesses as a bookkeeper over the years. After moving numerous times, Joyce and Gary finally settled down in Livingston, Montana in 2003. Joyce is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gary, of Livingston; her children, Chris (JimBo) Logan, of Clyde Park, MT, Ken (Rhonda) Lahaye of Wilsall, MT, and Therese Lahaye of Pocatello, ID; grandchildren, Kellen (Giny) Lahaye of Chesterfield, ID, Kody (Justinn) Lahaye of Salt Lake City, UT, KC Lahaye of Glenrock, WY, and Lane (Neya Bischoff) Lahaye of Wilsall, MT; great-granddaughters, Cadence and Mackenzie Lahaye of Chesterfield, ID; brother, Jim Lehman, of Livingston, MT; sister, Jan (Al) Weiser, of Wheatland, WY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Campbell; twin sister, Janice Lehman; brothers, Ron and Dale Lehman; son, Bryan Lahaye; and brothers and sisters-in-law. "If God causes you to suffer much, it is a sign that He has great designs for you, and that He certainly intends to make you a saint." - St. Ignatius of Loyola.
