Julie Helene (McDonald) McQuay, 56, of Livingston, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Livingston HealthCare following a courageous battle against cancer. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held later this summer at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Stafford Animal Shelter, 3 Business Park Road; Livingston, MT 59047. Julie was born on February 21, 1958, in Livingston, Montana. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Melva McDonald. She received her education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park County High School Class of 1976. In high school Julie worked at the Quest House Hotel. Following graduation she was employed at the Roundhouse as a secretary for Burlington Northern from 1976-1986. She was also employed at Guardian Title and Empire Sawing and for the last several years had worked for the American Bank in Livingston. On April 30, 2004, Julie was united in marriage to Randy B. McQuay, in Livingston. They shared 10 years of marriage. Julie was an avid golfer and played regularly in Livingston and Big Timber as well as Laughlin, Nevada. She had a infectious smile and a tremendous sense of humor always knowing how to make her friends laugh. She had a special place in her heart for her pets as well. Julie is survived by her: Husband, Randy McQuay of Livingston; Step-daughter, Melanie Michaels and her husband Burke of Boise, Idaho; Brother and Sister, Michael McDonald and his wife Sarah of Rapid City, South Dakota, Kathleen Ehlke and her husband Theodore of New Town, Pennsylvania. Many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Julie is preceded in death by her Parents, Kenneth and Melva McDonald. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
