Kaethe Eva Maria (Heidrich) Micka, 83, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019.Kaethe was born on April 5, 1936 in Lauban, Germany, a town in Germany in the Prussian Province of Silesia (Schlesien in German). During WWII, as an 8-year-old child she was forced to migrate from her home winding up in West Germany, growing up in the town of Munstedt, Germany. Her father went MIA during the war and never returned. At age 20 she boarded an ocean liner to come to USA in 1956 and stayed with relatives. She became a nanny, housekeeper, and worked as a butchers apprentice in a deli in A&P grocery stores; she was also a banquet waitress at Wayne Manor in NJ.She was the most beautiful mother, grandmother, wife and sister. She had the biggest heart you can imagine. Kaethe worked so very hard for her family. She cooked marvelously and cleaned for 3 children, 3 grandchildren and kept the best household running for her family, relatives and friends. She loved Christmas and always had a Christmas card list a mile long.Mom was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of several church choirs and what a singing voice she had.Mom would dance in the kitchen, teach us the waltz and the polka. As a family we attended many German Oktoberfests. Mom always put everyone else first. She helped so many people in so many kind and generous ways; by cooking, having them over and sharing stories, helping at church, and giving when people needed.Every year since we can remember we would ask, "What do you want for Christmas mom?" You would say, "peace and quiet." Well, now mother, our beautiful angel, Schlaf in himmlischer ruh!
