Kevin Lloyd Butler, 59, of Clyde Park, Montana, passed away Friday, December 30th, 2016 following a 2 and a half year struggle with cancer. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A memorial with their church family will be held at the Shields Valley Bible Church. Memorials may be sent to: PO Box 63; Clyde Park, MT 59018. Kevin was born on July 10, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was raised by mother, Beth (Simper) and step-fathers, Pete Butler and Kay Franks. He received his education in Rupert, Idaho and was a graduate of the Minidoka High School Class of 1975. Following his education Kevin took work with the railroad traveling all over the north-west. In 1981 Kevin moved to Alaska, as Pete was living there and encouraged him to come up. In Alaska is where Kevin was introduced to the two loves of his life, woodworking and his to be wife of 33 years, Jeanie. On February 25th, 1984, Kevin was united in marriage to Jeanie Kozak in Soldotna, Alaska. They began their lives together in Alaska where they were blessed with their two oldest sons, Brandon and Aaron. They later relocated, as Kevins building career began to flourish, to Phoenix, Arizona. They would later spend a year in Portland Oregon where Kevin had the opportunity to shine in the high-end finish construction industry. In 1991 they came to Shields Valley, Montana making it their home ever-since. In 2000 they were blessed with the addition of another son, Cameron. Cameron was diagnosed with cancer and passed away December 16th, 2003. We are comforted and reassured that Kevin and Cameron are now together in the arms of the Lord. In 2004 the family was again fortunate to adopt a little girl into their family, Hannah. Being a builder, Kevin was never intimidated to dig in and work hard. He so enjoyed creating with his hands, and was so very talented in the high end construction industry. He was passionately dedicated to his work and his family. In his down time he loved to fish. When in Alaska he would go out for halibut and salmon, and here in Montana he spent much time fishing the rivers. Kevin is survived by his: wife, Jeanie Butler; sons, Brandon Butler, Aaron Butler and his fiance, Miriah and daughter, Hannah Butler. Mother, Beth Franks.
