Lenny Anthony Gregrey, 86, a.k.a., "Lenny The Bake" to his friends, long-time Livingston resident passed away Friday, October 6th, 2017, after a 23-year battle with various urinary tract cancers and the recent bone cancer battle, which he lost. Lenny retired as Lieutenant from the NYPD following a 20 year career. After his final working day, February 28, 1974, Fran and Lenny crossed over the George Washington Bridge on March 1st; four days later they arrived at their home on South 9th Street to begin a new life in small town Livingston. Both Lenny and Fran loved every minute they resided in Livingston, enjoying the mountains, the Yellowstone River and the many friends they met which made the transition to small town Livingston a pleasure. Lenny is survived by his wife Fran; Lenny and Fran celebrated their 60th Anniversary last October, 27th, with family in Naples, Florida. Lenny is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside remembrance will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Veterans honors will be presented by Park Post #23, American Legion and VFW, Sergeant Tommy Ray Post # 2154 along with Active Duty NAVY Honor Guard.
