Lillian Wilkinson

Lillian Elenore Wilkinson, 98, of Livingston died August 17, 2023.  Lillian was born on June 20, 1925, in Park City, Montana.  She was born in her Grandpa Roth’s home to Hermine (Roth) and Johannes (John) Wegner, first generation German immigrants.  Lillian received her education in Laurel and Columbus where she graduated from Columbus High School in May of 1944.  She followed her high school boyfriend, Howard Gillmore Wilkinson, who was in the Navy during World War II, to New Orleans, Louisiana.  They were married on July 29, 1944.

Lillian and Howard moved to Livingston after Howard was honorably discharged and had three children: Howard Wilkey, John Burton and LynnDee Lew.  Lillian was a long-time member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Livingston.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Howard, her parents, her brothers: David Robert (Bob) Wegner and Gerald (Gary) Wegner; her son, John Burton Wilkinson and her granddaughter Frances WynnDee Wilkinson.

Survivors include her son, Howard Wilkey Wilkinson, her daughter LynnDee Lew Melvin; her grandsons Howard Gillmore Wilkinson II, Wilkey Wade Wilkinson and her great grandson Wilkey Alexander Wilkinson.
