Lora "Jeanette" (Lutz) Ryles, 87, of Livingston, Montana, passed away Sunday, June 26th, 2016 at The Diamond K Lodge. Graveside committal and burial will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell, Wyoming on Friday, July, 1st at Noon. Jeanette was born on October 14th, 1928, in Powell, Wyoming. She was the first born daughter of Giles and Lora Jeanette (Scudder) Lutz. Her parents were homesteaders on the Willwood District near Powell. She received her education in Powell and was a graduate of the Powell High School class of 1945. In February of 1946, Lora Jeanette Lutz was united in marriage to Thomas Larkin Ryles Jr. in Billings, MT. This marriage was blessed with three children, Terry, Mike and Brenda. Jeanette and Tom began their lives living in the Willwood area farming until they moved to Dillion, MT. That was followed by a move to the Gallatin Valley where Tom ran a cattle ranching business. They later relocated to Livingston where they were partners in a cattle ranch which they worked for about six years. Once they moved off the ranch Jeanette went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a long-distance operator which she did for over 20 years. She and Tom later moved to North Carolina where Tom was involved in a real-estate business; they then relocated back to Montana in Billings where Jeanette lived until 2013 when she came back to Livingston. She and Tom shared 33 years of marriage before his passing in 1978. Jeanette enjoyed playing cards, reading and was a great cook and baker. She was meticulous in how she kept her home and yard. The pride she had in her home was extremely evident. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Family, friends and her strong faith were the center of her world. Blessed be her memory.
