Lori Ann (Armentaro) Smith

July 6, 1955 — August 17, 2014

Lori Ann (Armentaro) Smith, 59, of Livingston, Montana passed away due to a tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 17, 2014 near Kalispell, Montana. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Loris LIFE will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October, 25 hosted at the Livingston Christian Center (1400 Mount Baldy Drive) with Pastor Peggy Paugh Leuzinger of American Lutheran Church as Celebrant. The service will be followed by a fellowship gathering and luncheon at the Christian Center. Graveside committal and burial will follow the reception at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to: Stafford Animal Shelter, 3 Business Park Road; Livingston, MT 59047. Lori was born on July 6, 1955, in her lifelong home of Livingston, Montana. She was the daughter of Anthony and Mayme (Strubb) Armentaro. She received her education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1973. Following graduation Lori attended business school in Billings. In 1977 she moved back to Livingston and was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad. This is where she was introduced to Clarke William Smith. Clarke won her heart and on August 12, 1983 Lori was united in marriage to Clarke, at the American Lutheran Church in Livingston. This marriage was blessed with two children, Adia Arie and Dillon Bryce. Clarke and Lori shared 32 loving years of marriage. Lori was also employed at the Northern Pacific Credit Union, which is now Sky Federal, for 25 years. She currently worked for Livingston HealthCare in their cardiac rehab center and for the Livingston School District. Loris love of dance led her to coaching the Rangerettes being in 1979 and continuing for many years. She also was an instructor with the Razzle Dazzle Dance Squad which she helped pioneer. Though Loris life was cut far too short she will be remembered for living every day all-out. She was a woman of strong Christian faith who was a caregiver to all and led by example as an active member of the Livingston community. Lori taught Sunday School at American Lutheran, was volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters and above all was a dedicated, caring and loving mother and grandmother to her two wonderful children and the joy of 'Bamma Lori's' life, grandson Bryce. She loved to get-away to Mill Creek, summer or winter, for a walk, a hike in the woods or to do some camping. The time she spent with Bryce reading to him and taking him to her favorite places up Mill Creek was what made Lori rich in life. She enjoyed her garden, flowers, was a tremendous cook who loved to feed her family and friends. Her holiday pumpkin rolls will surely be missed. She loved to relax with a good book and go to auctions, buying anything she could put a flower in. The time she spent on the Harley with Clarke was her freedom; she would plan a trip and taking all the back roads they could in order to explore new places in her beloved Montana. We are blessed to know her love will be forever with us. Lori, our peace is with you. Lori is survived by her: Husband, Clarke Smith of Livingston, MT. Daughter, Adia Smith of Plains, MT and her four year old son, Loris Grandson, Bryce and Son, Dillon Smith of Bozeman, MT. Sister, Auralee Galland and her husband, Ed of Yakima, WA. Aunt and Uncles, Donna and Louis Armentaro and Frank Armentaro all of Livingston, MT. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Lori is preceded in death by her Parents, Anthony and Mayme Armentaro. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
