Lorraine Lundquist Patrick, 93, of Livingston, Montana, passed peacefully, Tuesday morning, November 1st, 2016. Lorraine was born April 2, 1923, in Williston, North Dakota, the middle child of three born to her Scandinavian immigrant parents Ingeborg Paulsrud, from Norway, and Carl Lundquist, from Sweden. The family moved to Missoula, Montana in 1937, the children attending Hellgate High School and active members of the community and of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Lorraine went to Pacific Lutheran College in Tacoma, Washington, for two years, and then worked at church headquarters in Minneapolis for a year, before enrolling at Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, Minnesota. While there, she met Bruce Patrick, and they were married in August of 1948. Bruce taught music in West Concord, Minnesota and Camas Hot Springs, Montana, before the family settled in Livingston in 1957. Lorraine was a vibrant, loving, hard-working part of every community blessed with her presence active in the Lutheran church teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, serving on the council, bringing her bright smile and willing hands to coffee hours, womens circles, choir concerts, bake sales, and the lutefisk dinners. She also dedicated many years of invaluable service to the Red Cross, the Food Bank, and Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted and beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother -- and a cherished, faithful friend to countless others. She will be deeply missed by many. Lorraine is survived by her: daughter, Lynn (Mike) Doyle, their children Mary and Jeff, daughter, Christine (Earl) ONeill, their children Patrick and Caitlin, son, Michael (Donna) Patrick, their children Emily, Erin, and Ian, and precious great-grandsons, Bailey Babel and Jordan Greenman. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Merle, Robert, her husband Bruce, and great-granddaughter Eliana Greenman. A private burial under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been held at Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston. Memorials may be sent to the March of Dimes, the Red Cross, the Food Bank, or Meals on Wheels.
