Manuella Anna Maria (Parisi) Roberts, AKA Micky, Ella, MaMa & Grandma Mickey Mouse, passed away, surrounded by family, at age 96 at Caslen Living Center on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Micky was born in Livingston on February 9, 1926, to Marco and Natalina (Indendi) Parisi. She schooled in Livingston through her graduation from Park County High School. Following graduation, she worked in Livingston. One day, while covering at the Lott Hospital, a gentleman came in with a hand injury; she would go on to marry this man, Frank Roberts, Jr. on May 18,1947. And to clarify, he was the boy with the pickup truck.
They made their home in Livingston on M street. Frank worked for the Railroad and other than three years in Anaconda during a layoff, they resided in Livingston their entire lives. They were blessed with five wonderful children. She was “MaMa Roberts” to many more. Frank Passed away in 1991. Mickey remarried Archie Archambault with whom she spent 10 years traveling and enjoying retirement. Archie passed away in 2003.
Micky lived a life full of love. She was sweet and accommodating to everyone. Though she was a member of numerous groups around town and held odd jobs here and there, her true passion was caring for her family. She LOVED to cook and the more the merrier, if you asked her. She shared her love through the delicious meals she prepared. She’d often go to the Ranch in Geraldine and help Frank 3rd with lunches during branding season. One time she was about 10 minutes late bringing grub and was fired. The next week they rehired her, having to double her wage to bring her back. Frank then had to point out that double nothing is still nothing! One story that is dear to our hearts is when she was cooking 10lbs of spaghetti and needed to double the quantity, so she broke the noodles in half, “and made 20lbs.” She was so lovely and sweet, but we gave her a hard time for that one. Mickey also was well known for her crochet, of blankets, her much loved baby blankets and wash clothes. Mickey had recently been given an award by the Pioneer Society.
Micky lived a long and rewarding life. She leaves behind her children, Linda Wedel and her partner Rod Rhoads of Laurel, Frank Roberts and his wife, Mary of Geraldine, Geri Roberts of Livingston, and Greg Roberts and his wife, Billie of Livingston; Doug’s widow Gina Roberts. Grandchildren, Gator Wedel and his wife, Michelle Yeager, Chad Roberts and Jennifer, Kyle Roberts, Krystal Nimitz and her husband, Kirby, Barbara Roberts, Randi Johnson and her husband, Tanner, and Tanner Gunn Roberts; great-grandchildren, Allie, Nate, Rylie, John, Gatlin and Jace; great-great grands, Brooks and Bryce; she is survived by one brother, Marco, Jr. of Great-Falls. The family would also like to acknowledge the children Mickey gain by marriage (because we are Italian and you never really stop being family) daughter Holli Happe and son Dan Nowak.
Micky was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Doug who passed in 1991; siblings, Evelyn, Carolyn, Virginia, Tony, Jenny, John, Geri and Tino.
