Marcia Sue Cleek, 70, of Livingston, Montana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at her home in Livingston with her loved ones at her side. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church (202 East Lewis Street) in Livingston. A time of fellowship will follow. Interment will be at the Fort Harrison State Veterans Cemetery in Helena, MT with her husband, George. In lieu of memorials or flowers, donations in Marcias name can be given to the First Baptist Church Youth Group. Marcia was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, she worked at Knotts Berry Farm early in her life. She met George W. Cleek III in 1962 at "Live from Disneyland" where they were both dancers. George and Marcia were married August 30, 1963 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Marcia and family settled in Yuma Arizona in 1970, where she was active in the local, regional and national CB Radio Club. She enjoyed bowling, being a Blue Bird Group Leader and served as dedicated a 4-H leader for her children and others in the community. The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1981, where she became known as Mom by many youth in the high school and college marching bands. Marcia never missed a band, choir concert or a marching band competition. Marcia and family moved to Glendive, Montana in 1995, upon Georges retirement from federal civil service. Marcia was an avid gardener and canner where she won multiple competitions at the local fair for her jams and jellies. Upon Georges passing in May 2003, Marcia moved to Livingston where she lived out her life and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was active within First Baptist Church, especially the Youth Group and Vacation Bible School. She served as co-leader for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Marcia is survived by her children, son, William Skip Cleek of Missoula, MT; son, George W. Cleek IV and his wife, Robin of Fort Collins, CO; daughter, Anna Marie Counts and her husband Terry of Livingston, MT; and daughter, Pauline Bigner and her husband Sidney of Livingston, MT. Ten beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Siblings, JR Ferguson, Nina Tafoya, MaryAnn Spradley and Bill Spradley. Marcia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George W. Cleek III, father, John Vaughn Ferguson, mother, Vester Pauline Makaffii and sister, Phyllis Barker-Brown. Arrangemetns are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
