She was the daughter of Floyd Clinton and Ida Jane (Duell) Schryver. As a young child her family moved to Billings, Montana where she received her education and was a graduate of the Billings Senior High School Class of 1953. Following high school Marie furthered her education attending Carroll College in Helena and St. Vincents School of Nursing in Billings. She earned her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1956. Marie met Leonard Becker, the love of her life, and they were united in marriage August 10, 1957. They began their life together with Leonard teaching for short stints in Busby and Hardin before settling permanently in Livingston where they raised their 4 children. Marie and Leonard shared a devotion to each other that friends and family often described as being what "true love" looks like. When Leonard passed away in 2003 a piece of her heart went with him. We know that she is whole again embraced in Leonards arms. Marie was a Registered Nurse at the Park Clinic for 21 years with Dr. Bray & Dr. Baskett before retiring in 2002. She had tremendous respect for the medical staff that she worked with and held them all in high esteem, her children never heard her refer to a physician by first name, only as Doctor. Her career as a nurse was very rewarding to her, she excelled at helping others and her patients regularly thanked her for the care and attention they received. Marie was a volunteer at the Park County Library and a devout and accomplished member of Bridge and Duplicate card clubs in Livingston. She was not only a caregiver in her profession, she was a nurturer in her home-life as well. She always had a way of providing a special occasion in her childrens lives whether baking cookies or planning a celebration, she created many traditions that her children and grandchildren looked forward to year after year. Family gatherings and meals were her glory, she was a fantastic cook! Maries love of family ran deep in her heart, she treasured her grandchildren and considered "Grandma B" her finest role. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling and upon reflection, her children realized all of her trips were either with family or to see family. She saved every photo, note, and memento that she received from family and friends throughout her life, it was her cherished collection of wonderful memories. She was fun, gullible and yet very acute. She was an avid reader, she devoured books, enjoyed crossword puzzles, writing letters, and playing all kinds of games, especially card games!!!!! Marie is survived by her four children, Thomas Becker and his wife, Maree, of Livingston, Timothy Becker of Salt Lake City, UT, Michelle Becker and her husband, Ryan Laubach, of Livingston and Melissa Becker of Peoria, AZ. Four Grandchildren, Baily and Chaz Goodwine and Chad and Phillip Becker.
