Marj was born on October 3rd, 1929 in Fishtail, Montana. She was the second youngest of five children born to Laif and Blanche (Kinney) Haugan. She attended grade school in Fishtail and graduated from Absarokee High School. Marjorie married James Eddy in Fishtail, MT August 18, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with two sets of twin boys, and a son: Gary and Larry, Daniel and David, and Johnny Bill. Following their marriage Jim and Marj started their family in a cabin in Absarokee, where they had both sets of twins. Marj worked tirelessly raising her children as Jim was on the road driving truck daily. They lived with Mother Blanche and brother Ted in Fishtail for a while before moving to Billings where Jim built the family home. They later relocated to Glendive where Marj raised children, worked full-time and attended cosmetology school earning her beauticians license. She worked for some time as a beautician until they moved back to Billings. Marj worked and attended business school earning a business administration degree there. She worked at Warehouse Market managing their office until she started her own business marketing and selling Neo-Life natural food supplements and cleaning products. She ran that business until 2011 when she and Jim came to Livingston. Marj and Jim had many, many friends wherever they were living. In high school they were voted best dancers. They continued their love of weekend dances throughout their marriage, many of those nights spent at the Elks Club in Billings where they were long time members. Marj loved to play pool, known to beat the young studs at the Monaco with her girlfriend Jean Buckner. She and Jim were also a dynamic duo when it came to fishing. They had many favorite spots including Martinsdale and the Cooney Reservoir. They were both members of the Billings Boat Club serving as Commodore and Secretary. She was a patient, loving, supportive and dependable wife and mother. She taught her boys right from wrong and how to be responsible for themselves, which was an ongoing process.
