Maureen Annette (Mahoney) Hull

Maureen Hull, 72, of Livingston, Montana passed away at home on August 8, 2019 after a courageous nine month battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, John; son, Cole of Dallas, Texas; step-daughter, Tiffany of Conover, North Carolina; and sister, Laureen Mahoney of Miami, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Marie Mahoney; and brother, Lawrence Mahoney. Maureen was born January 6, 1947 in Great Falls, Montana and, as the daughter of a career Air Force sergeant lived in several locations in the states until her fathers retirement in Miami, Florida. Upon graduation from Florida State University, with a degree in accounting, Maureen accepted a position in Miami on the auditing staff of Price Waterhouse and Co. as a staff accountant where she met her future husband John. They were married on June 26, 1976. In 1977 Maureen accepted the position of Controller of Miami-Dade Aviation Department (operator of Miami International Airport). She served in this position until May of 1978 when they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they lived for the next 28 years. While in Fort Worth, Maureen held positions as controller of the Fort Worth Independent School District and Chief Financial Officer of the Womens Center of Fort Worth. In May of 2006, Maureen and John having retired, moved to Livingston, Montana which they had been visiting for many years. Maureen became very active in the community serving on the boards of the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture in Bozeman and The Livingston Depot Foundation. Maureen loved to visit and hike the trails of Yellowstone National Park and of Glacier National Park where her father grew up. She was also an avid bridge player and, in addition to playing in local clubs two or three times weekly, loved to participate in sectional and regional tournaments in Montana and other states.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 17, at the Livingston Depot, 200 W Park St. We will begin with a service of remembrance at 2 followed by a gathering of friends and family with food and refreshments provided.Memorials are preferred in Maureens memory to the Livingston Depot Foundation, PO Box 1319-Livingston, MT 59047. Maureen served the Depot for as a trustee for the past ten years and most recently as Treasurer.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
